Eclexia is the business name of Blue Mountains based web designer and developer, Penny Berlin.

It is derived from the word "eclectic", which is defined as:

"Greek eklektikos, from eklegein to select, from ex- out + legein to gather.

1: selecting what appears to be best in various doctrines, methods, or styles

2: composed of elements drawn from various sources;

also : heterogeneous"

My goal is to take the best elements from many different sources and produce high-quality, custom-designed websites and web applications.

I completed the Certificate IV in Website Design at Wentworth Falls TAFE in 2007.

My websites are very reasonably priced, and are all designed in accordance with the W3C standards, particularly the separation of content and presentation using CSS.

I have also attained competence in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and Adobe Photoshop.

My background is in IT with 20 years experience as an Analyst/Programmer using DB2, SQL and COBOL on IBM mainframes.

My most important other interests include custodianship of the Hill of Angels, sacred land owned by me at Bell in the Blue Mountains; being a practitioner of the
... 7-level system of Reiki; and enjoying many aspects of village life in my home town of Blackheath.
